Chelsea have already brought in three signings in the form of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens this summer and are expected to make some more additions in the coming weeks and months. However, the Blues have also missed out on some of their targets who have decided to pursue their futures elsewhere or stay put.

This list includes Dean Huijsen, Jarrad Branthwaite, Nico Williams and more. The Spanish defender joined Real Madrid before the Club World Cup, whereas the rest of the two have agreed to contract extensions with their respective teams. Now, another player has passed on interest from the Blues for a different club.

Mohammed Kudus has been heavily linked with Chelsea over the past few weeks. But he has decided to join their city rivals instead.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham Hotspur is a here we go. The deal is in place for £55m from West Ham United. He will sign a 6-year contract and medical tests have been booked.

Tottenham Hotspur had an interesting conclusion to the last campaign. Although they finished 17th in the Premier League, Spurs won the Europa League, thus securing a place in the Champions League next season.

However, soon after, they decided to part ways with their manager, Ange Postecoglou, who brought the club their first trophy in 17 years. Spurs have now appointed former Brentford boss Thomas Frank.

Nevertheless, Tottenham are a club which has suffered from inconsistency and an inability to win trophies. So, Kudus’ decision to join them, when other clubs were believed to be interested, is a questionable one.

Chelsea will have to find someone else in place of the Ghana international if Noni Madueke decides to leave the club, which is looking increasingly likely at the moment. Arsenal have made an initial bid for him already.
