Chelsea are looking to make some moves in the transfer market after spending the last few weeks focused on getting exits agreed. Of course, it remains to be seen what the Blues decide to do with their centre-back situation after Levi Colwill suffered an ACL injury in pre-season and is expected to spend the majority of the 25/26 campaign on the sidelines, if not all of it.

Colwill was a key player for Chelsea last season, as they won the Club World Cup and the Conference League while also securing a spot in the Champions League with a fourth-place finish. In fact, it was the centre-back's goal on Matchday 38 against Nottingham Forest that confirmed that. His absence will be felt, that is for sure.

But it looks like Chelsea are not panicking as a result of Colwill's injury. They continue to work on moves that they already were and there is a major update on that.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have an agreement with Alejandro Garnacho on personal terms. It is done and the Argentine only wants to go to Stamford Bridge.

Now, it will be about reaching an agreement on a transfer fee with Manchester United regarding a transfer fee. And that might not be simple.

It is believed that Manchester United might be looking for around £50 million for Garnacho's exit. On the other hand, there have been claims that Chelsea do not want to spend more than £30 million on the move. So, there is quite the gap there and some negotiations will need to take place.

Chelsea's best move might be to wait and let this thing drag on. The onus is on Man Utd to find Garnacho a new home and late in the window, they might be willing to accept a cut-price offer.
