There are just four players deemed as untouchable at Chelsea this summer.
Aside from Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Josh Acheampong and Moises Caicedo, everyone else is available to be sold.
Marc Cucurella has already joined Real Madrid after a £52 million deal was agreed with Enzo Fernandez also heavily linked with leaving Stamford Bridge.
And as well as Fernandez, another midfielder could make way as Xabi Alonso prepares to oversee a massive squad overhaul.
Chelsea open the door for Andrey Santos sale
According to a recent report from BBC Sport, the Blues are open to offers for Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos.
The 22-year-old became a Chelsea player three years ago after signing from Vasco de Gama in a deal worth £35 million.
However, loaned out to sister club Strasbourg and Nottingham Forest, Santos has made less than 50 appearances for his parent club.
As a result, the Blues are not opposed to cashing in before his contract expires in 2030.
How much Chelsea want remains unknown, but it is believed Elliot Anderson's recent £116 million move to Manchester City and Matheus Fernandes' £85 million switch from West Ham to Spurs have set the benchmark.
Santos will be bitterly disappointed
Last season saw Santos finally breakthrough into the Blues' first team. He was a favourite for former head coach Liam Rosenior, making 27 appearances in the Premier League as well as six in the UEFA Champions League.
Speaking earlier this year about the side's poor form and looking ahead to next season, Santos said: "We know we can do more, maybe next season. But this season isn’t finished yet."
Clearly believing he'll still be a Chelsea player next time out, the young South American will feel disappointed to learn he may not be as important as he first thought.
Alonso, who took charge earlier this week, appears open to the idea of letting Santos move on if a suitable offer is made.
The club need to work carefully throughout this summer transfer window. They need to balance the books while simultaneously adding genuine quality to the squad.
Although a player like Santos is bursting with potential, sadly, Alonso needs more than that, especially during his first season in charge where he'll be expected to get the club back playing top European football.
During his time in west London, Santos, who missed out on Brazil's squad for the 2026 World Cup, has been directly involved in eight goals in all competitions.
