A shocking transfer revelation has been made, as Alejandro Garnacho would prefer to join Chelsea, after Man United rejected a bid from Napoli.
Over the last few weeks, Chelsea have been linked with a surprising move for Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho. The news seemingly came completely out of the blue and at first, it was understandable that Chelsea fans wrote the rumours off as nothing short of sensationalist.
However, the more time which has progressed, the more feasible those links have become. In fact, the links only seem to have strengthened in recent days.
Yesterday, it was revealed that Chelsea would enter talks with Man United over their potential sale. Well, one club has already been in contact with Man United and that club is Antonio Conte's Napoli.

However, with no great luck. According to a report from Metro, Man United already rejected a bid from Napoli. However, they have since lowered their asking price, after originally holding out for £70m. Now, Man United could demand around £54.8m, so significantly lower than the original £70m
According to journalist Gaston Edul, Alejandro Garnacho would prefer to stay in the Premier League rather than move abroad. However, Chelsea are yet to submit their first offer for Garnacho, despite the links.
Now that Man United have lowered their asking price for Garnacho, it remains to be seen if this convinces Garnacho. For what it's worth, the price reduction has somewhat swayed me.
For £70m, Garnacho would not be worth the punt. Yes, he's proven in the Premier League but not consistently proven. However, for £54.8m, it would be an investment Chelsea should make.
Obviously, Chelsea have the resources to do so. This is hardly ever in the question since Chelsea give the fans no reason to ever worry about their finances.
It would especially the case if Chelsea obtain their required £70m for Christopher Nkunku. It wouldn't be ideal for Chelsea to sell Nkunku, however with Bayern Munich showing an interest, £70m would represent tidy profit for the Blues. Profit they could invest elsewhere.
