Chelsea FC Transfer Rumours: Alex Teixeira Offer Confirmed
Chelsea FC are indeed set to make moves in January as talks with Alex Teixeira reportedly open.
As we inch towards the opening of the January transfer window, transfer rumours are beginning to pick up. With the Blues in dire straits, they have been inevitably the subject of many reports. The latest claims that the club have opened talks with Shakhtar Donetsk striker Alex Teixeira.
According to the Mirror, the Brazilian goal machine has confirmed that Jose Mourinho and the Blues brass have already made an offer for his services.
"I’m glad to have received that proposal from Chelsea, they’re a great club in Europe."

Teixeira has been absolutely tearing it up in Ukraine this season. Thirteen league games has yielded a whopping 19 goals while his contributions to other competitions take his total tally to 24.
In fact, his incredible form this season has already seen him surpass his goalscoring record of 22 from the last campaign.
The 25-year-old’s show-stealing performances have led to a gaggle of suitors keeping tabs on him. Spanish giants Real Madrid and French champions Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are also reportedly interested in signing him by the end of summer.
While Real and PSG evidently offer glamorous and lucrative proposals, Teixeira himself has stated his desire to play in the Premier League.
"I think it’s [Premier League] the best in the world, more contested, and I want to have this challenge in my career."
Such positive words will undoubtedly encourage the likes of Michael Emenalo and Marina Granovskaia, as they seek the antidote to the crippling illness devouring the incumbent Blues squad.
However, Teixeira also admitted that a Stamford Bridge move is unlikely to materialise before the end of the season.
"I think it’ll be very difficult in January because it is in the middle of the championship. Shakhtar have said they won’t let me leave in January, only at the end of the season."

Chelsea have already been linked with a multitude of deals slated for the winter transfer window. Radamel Falcao is apparently on the verge of terminating his loan deal prematurely while both Saido Berahino and Harry Kane have been touted as potential arrivals.
Jose Mourinho has previously stated that he has no wishes to add to his squad mid-season, but with executives essentially running transfers in modern-day football, nothing can be ruled out.
With all three of Diego Costa, Loic Remy and Falcao failing to produce at a rate that befits any Premier League striker, Chelsea fans are certain to be excited by the prospect of one of Europe’s most prodigious talents pulling on a blue shirt.
