With the end of the season around the corner it is perhaps one of the most important times in the shaping of every squad that is also nearly upon us. The summer transfer window opens in a few short months on July 1st and, as always, teams around the world have already begun to draw up their plans for how to improve and change their playing squads for the coming season.

In the midst of Chelsea FC’s unbelievably poor season some of the only news stories that have kept fans out of the doom and gloom have been transfer related. It’s important to remember a few things as we look at the upcoming transfer window. Namely, the Blues have no European football to look forward to and that the club is looking to promote more from within.

Sorry to say this to those of you who are expecting a summer signings extravaganza but it’s just not going to happen. There will most likely be a few stabilizing signings to help aid Antonio Conte’s transition to England and help ingratiate his methods into the squad, but there will not be anything more than that.

What we shall thus attempt to do in this story is delve through the vast amounts of news and rumblings and rumors to draw a clearer picture as to what Chelsea supporters have to look forward to or not as the club tries to put itself back together following this year’s absolutely shocking display.
