Over the years, a number of Chelsea players have switched allegiances to play for the Blues’ city rivals, Arsenal. This list includes Jorginho, Kai Havertz, David Luiz and Willian, to name a few. Recently, Mikel Arteta's side are also believed to have secured the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga by activating his release clause.
However, it looks like Arsenal are not done yet with picking players from the Chelsea squad. Reports suggest they are considering a move for another one.
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson has an uncertain future due to his failure to establish himself in the squad, despite being the team’s primary striker for the past two seasons. However, following his red card during their second match at the Club World Cup, his time might be up.
The fans have grown frustrated with the player and the club is reportedly open to letting him leave this summer if a suitable transfer offer arrives and it seems, Arsenal could be his next destination. Duncan Castles confirmed their interest on The Transfer Podcast (via Metro), as he said:
"And then there’s one more name that I’ve become aware of this week which may come as a surprise which is Nicholas Jackson, the Chelsea striker who’s had an interesting time in his two years at Chelsea.
‘Chelsea have always been looking for either adding somewhere else in that position or replacing him totally."

Chelsea have already secured the signing of Liam Delap as the club’s new number nine. The youngster has recorded one goal and one assist in his first four matches.
In addition, the Blues are looking to bring in a versatile striker to play alongside Delap. Several names have already been mentioned, including Viktor Gyokeres, Hugo Ekitike, and Victor Osimhen, but these are just rumours at this point.
Jackson will be back for Chelsea’s Club World Cup quarter-final matchup following their 4-1 win over Benfica in the last 16. It remains to be seen whether he can deliver an extraordinary performance to sway the fans in his favour, or if it ends up being one of his last matches in the Royal Blue jersey.
