Chelsea seem to be linked with a new name every other day in recent times as they look to bolster the squad. However, it appears that, as of now, the Blues have made a long-time target their priority signing for the rest of the summer transfer window. And if they can pull it off, it would be intriguing to see how he fits Enzo Maresca's system.

There has been no shortage of arrivals for Chelsea this summer, as they have already brought in Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, and Joao Pedro to strengthen the forward positions. That said, with Noni Madueke set to join Arsenal and Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix and possibly Nicolas Jackson also expected to find new clubs soon, the Blues will need to bring in further reinforcements.

Chelsea were dealt a transfer blow recently as Mohammed Kudus decided to join city rivals Tottenham Hotspur, despite being on the Blues' radar. However, they have moved on and have decided to pursue their long-time target Morgan Rogers instead if reports are accurate.

According to The Sun, Chelsea have made Rogers their top target for the remainder of the summer transfer window. The Blues are ready to push the boat out to bring in the England international.

Rogers currently plays mostly in the attacking midfield position for Aston Villa. However, similar to Kudus, the English midfielder can also operate in multiple other roles, including the right and the left flank.

The youngster registered 14 goals and 15 assists in 54 matches across all competitions for his team last season. At just 22 years old, these numbers speak for themselves.

It remains to be seen if Chelsea are able to bring Rogers to Stamford Bridge this summer. And if they do, where would he fit in?
