Chelsea are set for a busy summer and have identified Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers as a top attacking target.

The Blues will bolster their squad at the end of the season with the club looking to add proven quality with a winning mentality.

Although defence will be the priority, Alejandro Garnacho's poor form could see Chelsea bring in a new attacker, and Rogers is among the names they're looking at.

But Chelsea aren't the only ones who want the 23-year-old...

Chelsea looking to sign Morgan Rogers

Chelsea have had a long standing interest in Rogers. The Blues and Arsenal, wanted to sign him before he signed a contract extension until 2031. He is now among Villa's highest-paid players earning around £150,000-per week.

Following his new deal, the Englishman's value has surged, but regardless of this, he is expected to be one of Europe's most in demand players later this year. A solid World Cup tournament will only amplify his popularity.

According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, there are already at least four big clubs all preparing to make a move for Rogers. In addition to Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and European champions PSG are also monitoring Aston Villa's star man.

Even though Transfermarkt have Rogers' value listed at £80 million, Aston Villa could use Elliot Anderson probable £100 million move from Nottingham Forest as a benchmark and negotiate an even higher fee.

Rogers' emergence under Unai Emery has been hugely impressive. The wide forward has directly contributed to 60 goals in 124 matches in all competitions since his move from Middlesbrough in 2024.

Rogers would be major upgrade on Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho has been one of the side's biggest disappointments this season. The Argentine arrived from Manchester United last summer but has really struggled to make the left flank his own.

Although Chelsea are unlikely to permanently offload him so soon into his contract, Garnacho is rumoured to be wanted on loan by River Plate, and that's an offer that could benefit all parties.

Should Chelsea's sporting department find a solution for Garnacho, there will be a gap to fill and Rogers would be the perfect player.

The England international is one of the Premier League's most versatile forwards. He can operate anywhere across the front line, including at number 10.

Not only would he bring some serious quality to the team, but his experience of playing at international level with Cole Palmer could see the pair strike up a scarily good partnership.
