Tyrique George joined Everton on loan last summer and has struggled for minutes, but David Moyes has promised the young forward more opportunities before the end of the season.
George is one of the Blues' brightest academy talents. Prior to his loan move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the 20-year-old had scored six goals for Chelsea's first team, and was rumoured to want out of Stamford Bridge.
With several players well ahead of him in the pecking order but a bright prospect, a loan move felt like the right solution. Joining Everton and working under Moyes, George has been expected to develop his game in the Premier League.
He has struggled to be a regular in Merseyside, though. The London-born striker has featured in just six league games so far this season with his latest outing a 15-minute cameo away to Brentford on Saturday.
The Chelsea loanee did make an impact, though, and Moyes was delighted with what he saw.

Geroge replaced Dwight McNeil at the 75th minute mark at the Gtech Community Stadium. The forward's introduction came just moments before Igor Thiago scored his second of the game and put the Toffees 2-1 down.
Despite trailing for a second time in the match, Everton refused to give up and a 91st minute equaliser from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall saw the points shared.
George played his part too. The 20-year-old was incredibly direct and kept hold of the ball whenever it was in his possession, and Moyes recognised that.
Speaking to the the Liverpool Echo at full-time, the Everton boss singled out George and vowed to play him more before the end of the season.
"I like Tyrique. We’ll try to get him more opportunities and minutes when we can. He’s got good control, he wants to score and you saw that today."
George has started just one Premier League game this season, but with Everton pushing for European qualification and the side quite stretched following Jack Grealish's absence, the Chelsea youngster could yet find himself playing a bigger role.
Another loan for George next season likely to be on the cards
If George is struggling for game time at Everton it seems unlikely he'll return to Chelsea and become a regular starter.
The 20-year-old is talented but he still lacks that cutting edge, and with the Blues' left flank a particular area of weakness, Rosenior cannot afford to carry any passengers next season.
Because of this, George, who was promoted from Chelsea's academy at the end of 2024, could very well find himself back out on loan next season.
And should this be the case, fans will expect the forward to be at a club that can guarantee him a lot more playing time.
